Frequently asked questions
Is a straight razor shave safe at home?
Yes. Your barber is licensed, uses a fresh single-use blade for every client and follows the same sanitation steps as in the shop.
Can you shave someone who is in bed or in a wheelchair?
Yes. Our barbers can adjust and work around beds, wheelchairs and recliners. For hospital or care-facility visits, we arrange it with staff approval.
How much does a mobile barber haircut cost?
Send a request and we'll reply with your full price. Nothing is booked or charged until you approve it.
Where do you offer house calls?
We're based in the San Francisco Bay Area and make house calls across San Jose, Santa Clara County, San Mateo County, San Francisco and the East Bay. Somewhere else, even outside the US? Send a request anyway and we'll let you know if we can get a barber to you.
What do I need to prepare?
Just a chair and a little space, ideally near good light, plus a broom, dustpan and access to a trash can to throw away hair. We bring everything else, including clippers, capes and cleanup supplies.
What if I need to cancel?
Life happens, and we understand. You can cancel for free up to 12 hours before your appointment. If you cancel within 12 hours, a cancellation fee applies, because your barber has already set that time aside and turned away other clients to be there for you.
